Honey Monster Honey Waffles

More food blogging! After discovering the nicest sweets ever, within a relatively short space of time I've discovered the nicest cereal ever. It's called Honey Monster Honey Waffles and it's awesome. It reminds me a lot of a cereal called Start which used to be made Kellogg's when I was a kid. They stopped making it though, and I've been looking for something like it ever since.

And who knew the Honey Monster kept a blog?

Jelly Dinosaurs

I don't normally post about food on here, but I've recently discovered The Natural Confectionery Company, and they make the nicest sweets ever, my favourite variety being the Jelly Dinosaurs.

Also, they've just updated their website. Before it only linked through to the Cadbury site, but there's now an amusing animation to watch, and when it finishes you can order a free sample, which is pretty cool.

Chocolate

I just ate this KitKat (not actually Nestlé, some supermarket brand), but instead of there being wafer and stuff in the middle like there's meant to be it was solid chocolate. Score!

The Dillinger Escape Plan at Corporation tomorrow night. Looking forward to it.

Popcorn

I made some popcorn today. It's a really good food 'cos it's cheap to buy, fun to make, and pretty healthy.

Talking of food, I just did my food shopping online for the first time. I've been going to the local Tesco quite a bit recently, but it's a long way from my house - once I bought too much and it was a real struggle to get it all home. So for about £6 you can get it delivered to your house using Tesco's website.

I don't really make a list when I go shopping, I usually just go round the whole supermarket and pick up what I need when I see it, so it's quite weird choosing all the items from a webpage. The delivery comes tomorrow during the afternoon, so we'll see if it works.

Assorted things

Here are a few things:

I just passed my driving test! I've been driving and taking tests for ages now and my life has just become a lot simpler. It's been so long that it's taken the fun out of driving, but now I can drive, and will never have to take a test again.

I ate some new kind of Liquorice Allsorts the other day (even though they don't contain any liquorice). They're called Dessert Allsorts. At first I misread the package and thought there would be lizards and sand and stuff, but there are actually new flavours such as summer fruit pudding and lemon cheesecake. This is great because I only really enjoy about 15% of a bag of normal Liquorice Allsorts, but all these were nice.

Apparently English accents make one sound educated, which is useful. Things are looking up.

Also, Spheres of Chaos played a show with Anamanaguchi at the weekend. I'm not going to write about it all here, but you can find out more about what went down when they got to the UK at their web page. We had a really good time hanging out and the show was awesome - photos and stuff can be found at the Spheres of Chaos website and we recorded an interview with the guys for the Gamewave Podcast. That should be up soon.

Pancake Day

I forgot to mention in my post yesterday that it was Pancake Day. I always enjoy Pancake Day, as it involves eating pancakes, and I have quite fond memories of the event as a child. It used to be something I really looked forward to, but, as with all yearly events and holidays, not so much any more. My favourite filling used to be orange juice and sugar if I remember correctly, yesterday I just went for plain golden syrup on my pancakes. Good stuff.

Also yesterday, I witnessed what must be one of the worst films ever made - Freddie as F.R.0.7. It's a British animated film about a prince who turns into a frog who turns into a secret agent. The featured review on the IMDb page sums up many of my thoughts. The storyline, and even characters, were not coherent whatsoever. Sometimes I wonder how such films manage to be released. I didn't see the whole film, but I doubt that the concept would have been any more enjoyable had I watched from start to finish. Even though the film was narrated by James Earl Jones, voice of Darth Vader, it's extremely low quality. Apparently the studio thought of doing a sequel, but the film flopped so badly that they didn't bother.
