Sport
Sport has figured quite prominently for me this weekend. I played football for 2 hours on Friday evening, 2 hours again yesterday and I'm planning to play badminton this afternoon (this was/is all with the Japan Society at my university). That might sound like no big deal, but over Easter I hardly did any exercise whatsoever, and I'm kinda feeling the effects right now.
I used to be really into sports, especially football, when I was a kid. Like most boys I wanted to become a professional football player, but growing up my lifestyle has changed. I'm nowhere near as interested as I once was and it usually bores me to watch sport on TV. However, I do like to play sport whenever I get the chance, partly for health reasons, but mainly because it can often be a fun activity. Team sports are good social activities, especially at places like universities.
During this past week at university we just had a mid-semester test, which everyone found really tough. The results came back OK for me, but it's not that long before I have to start preparing for the end of year exam. A friend and I are also actually planning to go over to Japan this summer to do some work and gain some language experience. We still need to contact hosts and book our flights, but I'm totally looking forward to it.
